Bryan Ingram, the Operations Manager of Lakeland Generation Ltd., sent MLCA a status report today on water levels on Manitouwabing Lake.  Mantouwabing Lake at Hurdville is again slipping to lower than desired water levels as evaporation keeps exceeding lake inflows.  "We simply havent had the rain to move through the system," he said.  "We have done nearly all we can and are monitoring the levels closely. The following letter was sent by MLCA to Members of the Township of McKellar Council on July 19th 2016 alerting them to the concerns of MLCA members in respect to commercial cottage rentals. In the past few years MLCA has received an increasing number of complaints about unacceptable behavior by cottagers both on the lake and on the land.  In checking with Gary Joice, the McKellar By-law Enforcement Officer, he informed us that 80% to 90% of noise, inappropriate behavior, fireworks and other violations he and his team respond to have been perpetrated by renters of properties, not the owners [...]
