On Saturday, March 5th 2010, McKellar Conservation Association (MCA) will, once again, host an ice fishing derby where one can fish on any inland lake in the West Parry Sound District (excluding Georgian Bay) and win a chance at cash prizes in each of three categories of $500, $100, $50 and other prizes.  That's a total of $1,950 in prize money, not to mention additional prizes. Socializing doesn't stop on the ice.  Included with registration is a full course meal held at the McKellar Community Centre.  Participate in a family fun activity and support MCA members' conservation initiatives in and around the McKellar area.

Registration and ticket purchases can be made in person at Ann and Steve Bradley's home (Manitouwabing Taxidermy), 6 Catherine Street, McKellar, or in Parry Sound at Tony Agnello's Divers Nook, 55 Bowes Street.  By mail, send a cheque to McKellar Conservation Association, 5 Maplewood Drive, R.R. #1, Comp. 12, Parry Sound, Ontario P2A 2W7.  Those registered by mail can pick up tickets at the McKellar Community Centre when entering for weigh in and/or dinner.
