Tracking our progress with pedometers, as of the end of January 2012, we have jointly logged over 2.5 million steps, taking us from our start in St John's Newfoundland, we have already crossed to Halifax, Nova Scotia; Charlottetown, PEI; Fredericton, New Brunswick; and Quebec City and will soon arrive in Ottawa. We have only 11 million steps to complete our journey to the Pacific coast.
Our members are varied, usually 15-25 people each day. Ages also vary, withthe youngest being only a few weeks old to a gentleman at the ripe old age of 92. Everyone is welcome and we encourage you to set your own pace and only do what you feel comfortable with. We walk to music after doing ten minutes of mild stretching exercises (voluntary)and end with some mild stretching. We are amazed at the difference in our fitness levels since we started in November. Everyone is positive and happy and many friendships flourish while walking our laps. We welcome you to join us and the price is right - free!
